# Change the supervisor of a participation

Changing the supervisor deletes every answer the previous supervisor already gave for this participation.

**To change the supervisor of a participation in a [review edition](/en/c/feedbacks/what-are-review-editions):**

1. [Open the participant list of the review edition](/en/c/feedbacks/participant-list)
2. Click the arrow at the right edge of the participation's row to open the action menu
3. Click "Change supervisor"

4. In the dialog, choose the new supervisor. You can search the list using the search field.

5. Click "Save"

The page reloads and the supervisor in the participant list is changed immediately.

Changing the supervisor does **not** send an email invitation to the new supervisor. Emails go out only at the [scheduled time for automatic email invitations](/en/c/feedbacks/set-up-automatic-email-invitations) or when you [send an invitation manually](/en/c/feedbacks/invite-participants-by-email). If the automatic invitation time has already passed, new participants are invited by email immediately.

The "Change supervisor" option is not available if the participation has been sealed or is currently being sealed.
