# Delete editions

You can delete editions of a feedback process as long as at least one active edition remains. Deleted editions are not removed immediately. They are first marked for deletion, and you then have **90 days** to restore an edition before it is permanently deleted.

Deleting and restoring editions requires HR access or executive management access. Other users don't see these options.

## Delete an edition

Every feedback process must have at least one active edition. The delete icon therefore only appears once two or more active editions exist.

**To delete an edition:**

1. [Open the settings of the feedback process](/en/c/feedbacks/open-settings).
2. Scroll to the **Editions** section. Next to each deletable edition you'll see a red trash icon.

3. Click the red trash icon next to the edition you want to delete.
4. A confirmation dialog appears. It shows how many participation groups in the edition are affected and points out the 90-day restore window. Click **Delete now** to confirm.

5. The edition is marked for deletion, and you receive a confirmation message.

The deleted edition then appears greyed out in the Editions section. Next to its date range you'll see a note stating when it will be permanently deleted (for example, "Will be permanently deleted in 90 days"). Employees without HR or executive management access can no longer open the deleted edition.

## Restore a deleted edition

Within 90 days of deletion you can restore an edition. After that it is fully accessible again.

**To restore a deleted edition:**

1. [Open the settings of the feedback process](/en/c/feedbacks/open-settings).
2. In the Editions section, click the dropdown icon (▾) next to the deleted edition.
3. Choose **Restore** from the dropdown menu.

4. Confirm in the dialog that appears by clicking **Restore now**.

5. The edition is restored and is accessible to employees again.

:::warning
Once the 90-day window has passed, the edition is permanently deleted. **All participations and results in that edition are then lost for good.** It can no longer be restored.
