# Filter results

You can narrow down the participations and results of a review edition. A filter applies to every sub-page of the status page: the participant list (Review tab), the Evaluation, the Question evaluation, the potential analysis and the Time series.

Filters are saved per user. Each user can create and activate their own filters without affecting anyone else's view.

## Overview

On the [status page](/en/c/feedbacks/review-status-page) of a review edition, you'll find the **All results** dropdown to the right of the tabs. This is where you control filtering.

The dropdown contains these entries:

* **All results**: Shows every participation with no restriction (the default view).
* **Saved filters**: If you have any, your saved filters appear here by name. The active filter is highlighted. A pencil icon to the right of each filter opens it for editing.
* **New filter**: Opens the form for creating a new filter.
* **Compare results**: Opens comparison mode, where you can view the results of several filters or editions side by side.

As soon as a filter is active, the dropdown shows the filter's name instead of "All results".

## Filter criteria

When you create or edit a filter, the **Filter settings** dialog opens. Each filter row has three parts:

1. **Criterion**: Choose the field to filter by.
2. **Operator**: for example "Equals" or "Contains".
3. **Value**: The value you're looking for or the options you want.

Use the **+** and **−** buttons to add or remove filter rows. **Reset filter** clears all rows so you can start over.

The following standard criteria are available. Exactly which ones you see depends on how the review is configured and which fields are set up in your organization.

### Position

Filters by the participants' position. Choose one or more positions from the list.

### User groups

Filters by user group. Choose one or more groups to show only participants assigned to those groups.

### Supervisor

Filters by the assigned supervisor. Choose one or more names to show only participants who report to the selected supervisors.

### Status

Filters by the processing status of the participation:

* **Pending**: Only participations that are not yet finalized.
* **Finalized**: Only participations that are already finalized.

### Sealings

If the review uses sealing, you can filter by sealing status:

* **not started**: No sealing has begun.
* **started**: Sealing is in progress but not yet complete.
* **sealed**: Sealing is complete.

### Perspectives

If the review has several perspectives (for example Manager, Peers, Cross-Team), you can filter by individual perspective. Choose one or more perspectives.

:::info
The "Perspectives" option only appears when the review has more than one perspective.

### Custom fields

In addition to the standard criteria above, your organization's custom fields appear in the selection list. The available operators and value inputs depend on the field type:

* **Text fields**: Operator "Contains" — enter a search term.
* **List fields**: Operator "Equals" — choose one or more options.
* **Yes/No fields**: Operator "Equals" — choose "Yes" or "No".
* **Date fields**: Operator "Equals" — choose a date or a date range.

## Compare results

The **Compare results** entry in the filter dropdown opens comparison mode. This lets you view the results of several filters or editions side by side.

 ![Comparison dialog with two levels](/attachments/feedbacks/ergebnisse-filtern/ergebnisse-vergleichen-dialog.png)

1. For each level, choose a saved filter (or "All results") and an edition.
2. Use the **+**/**−** buttons to add or remove levels. Up to three levels are possible.
3. Click **Compare results** to display the results side by side.

:::info
Comparison mode is available as soon as at least one saved filter exists or the review has several editions.
